Memoirs of a Bystander
Venue: My Gallery NYC
Dates: 10/7-10/9/2022
“Memoirs of a Bystander” is Nocturnal’s out cry to humanity. In their first solo exhibition, Nocturnal urges us to evaluate our willingness to witness rather than take action. Their work explores topics of mental health, trauma, healing, race and gender. With over 10 pieces varying in media in style, Nocturnal shines light on the whispers and secrets of human nature. This is Nocturnal’s love letter to humanity to say, we need to do better.

Fibaro Motion Sensor with rose. Anytime you walk by the piece it glows and sends a message to me. It's watching you. It's reporting you, but does nothing. How does that feel?
